GFHS has a wide variety of clubs, ranging from speech and discussion groups to those of an athletic or service nature. With so many choices, our hope is the individual student can recognize one or more of their interests in the form of a club.
Besides providing a student with the opportunity to pursue his/her interests, the clubs are valuable as a chance for self-expression and association with one's fellow students.
At this time, only the number of clubs in operation limits the number of clubs a student can participate in. It is urged that students take on only as many activities as they can easily handle. Most of the organizations in Great Falls High School take in new members at the beginning of each school year. Initiations for any school-sponsored club or activity that infringe upon the rights of others are not allowed. Violations will be handled on an individual basis by the administration. The following is the present list of clubs, their activities, and information about them.

Art Club is geared towards students who are creative and love art. Art Club is inclusive and the core values of Great Falls High are upheld: do what’s right; treat others the way you want to be treated; and do your best. Volunteer opportunities and workshops will be available to members. Workshops, studio tours, and volunteering may be after school or on weekends and may include travel/meetings off campus. All activities are geared to enrich the members' art experience and expression and sense of belonging.
The club is open to all students in grades 9-12 who are interested in cycling. The purpose of the bike club is to promote the sport of cycling, provide a safe and enjoyable environment for students to cycle, and foster a sense of community among members. Additionally, we would like to promote our excellent trail system in town, the River’s Edge Trail.
The club will offer a variety of activities, such as group rides, bike safety, trail maintenance, and social events. We believe that cycling is a great way to get exercise, explore the community, and meet new people.

As a co-curricular organization, Business Professionals of America has the ability to enhance student participation in professional, civic, service and social endeavors. Business Professionals of America members participate in these activities to accomplish their goals of self-improvement, leadership development, professionalism, community service, career development, public relations, student cooperation, safety and health."
Students will get the opportunity to play each other in various logic/strategy games, such as Chess, Checkers, and Battleship. We will also discuss the history of these games and the various mathematical/strategic principles of the games. Students may bring in their own copies/sets of the games, but it is their responsibility to make sure they are not lost/damaged. There is no requirement to purchase any materials for this club, and beginners of these games are encouraged to join!
The Bison Classic Card Club promotes social interaction through student-led instruction of card games. No money is exchanged in these card games. Students meet in the library. No membership or application is required; all are welcome.
Loop of Kindness is a club where you can learn to crochet/craft while earning volunteer hours and making a difference for people through your gifts of kindness and dedication.
Meetings are typically Tuesdays and Thursdays after school (3:20-4:20) in room 114B.

DECA -Distributive Education Clubs of America (TBD)
Our mission at Distributive Education Clubs of America is to prepare future leaders for careers in Marketing, Sales, Negotiation, Entrepreneurship, and Management that include bimonthly meetings as well as out-of-state competitions and events. In short, this cocurricular organization boasts unparalleled potential to foster a multitude of interpersonal skills that are relevant to everyday life, sharpen professional attributes that are desirable in any given workplace, and refine their collective candidacy for college applications and beyond. Disclosure: This year students may be asked to contribute to the local and state registration fees of $25 per student.
The GFHS Drama Club’s goal is to rehearse, stage, and perform high-caliber performance art in the community. Being part of a show is an amazing honor as well as responsibility.
Drum and Dance (TBD)
Drum and Dance is a club for students to learn both traditional and contemporary drum songs. This club is utilized for the Powwow, where a student drum group performs at the Community Powwow in May. Dance will also be taught along with the songs for those wanting to learn traditional dance and can also perform at the Community Powwow.
Family Career & Community Leaders of America -FCCLA (TBD)

Meet 1st & 3rd Wed of the month at Buffalo Blanc at 7 AM
Under the direction of Taylor Devall and her husband Nathan Devall students will get the opportunity to gather and commune with other students to unite their passions of faith, sport, and food. FCA is a group that meets worldwide and has been on one mission to impact the world for Jesus Christ for over 60 years. The FCA organization holds four main values; integrity, service, teamwork, and excellence. At Great Falls High’s FCA, we seek to make disciples through the FCA strategy of engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.
Provide an avenue for public service while learning about Geology and the lapidary field. A student will donate their lapidary projects to the club. All proceeds from the sale of the lapidary projects will go to support the cause of the clubs choice and purchasing of equipment needed to maintain the club.
1. Each club member will receive volunteer hours, (one project usually requires 1.5 hours to complete). The club sponsor will keep student’s volunteer hours. 2. If a student wishes to keep their lapidary project, they will be charged the cost of the material used and will receive no volunteer hours.
HOSA membership is geared towards students interested in health professions. This professional organization is designed to give students skills that will make them valuable members in society and their future careers. HOSA is the place for students to expand upon the learning opportunities offered in the classroom. HOSA is not a club –it is an organization that promotes career opportunities in health and supports young people who plan to become the next generation of health professionals (including many scholarship opportunities).
In our HOSA Chapter, we stress leadership through the promotion of student officers. We emphasize participation through social activities, leadership development sessions, fundraising events, community outreach, community service and competition by means of skill and academic contests at the state and international level.
This club allows cultural opportunities for all students at Great Falls High. There are no planned trips at this time but some might occur within city limits. Events and activities: Float building for Homecoming, Smudging, Lodge talks, and Star stories.
The Key Club is a student-led organization that is dedicated to service, leadership, and community engagement. Our mission is to provide our members with meaningful opportunities to make a positive impact in our school and local community.
Mission Statement: The Key Club at Great Falls High School strives to cultivate leadership, foster a spirit of service, and promote the development of strong character among its members. Through engaging in various service projects and initiatives, we aim to create a lasting positive change both within our school and the broader community. Disclosure: Dues $15.
This club is open to all students, regardless of their experience level. The Rocketry Club aims to provide students with opportunities to learn about design and engineering principles, the mathematics of flight, and the importance of teamwork.
In the Rocketry Club, students will learn how to design and build their own rockets, from scratch. They will also learn about the science of rocketry, including the principles of aerodynamics, propulsion, and guidance. In addition, students will have the opportunity to compete in rocketry competitions, where they can test their skills against other teams from around the country.
The Rocketry Club is a great way for students to learn about engineering and science in a fun and hands-on way. It is also a great way for students to develop their teamwork and problem-solving skills.
The purpose of the club is to promote the activities, camaraderie and imagination that Role-Playing games offer. These games help students to develop friendships with other students, and the club also gives students an opportunity to have a creative outlet playing the games. Common titles of Role-Playing games include Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars, Boot Hill, Middle Earth, and a huge variety of others.
We believe that this club is a great way for students to meet others with similar interests in a setting that has a responsible adult overseeing the games. We are looking forward to sharing our enjoyment of Role-Playing games with our students at Great Falls High. We hope that the Role-Playing Game Club will offer a safe, fun environment for students to enjoy.
The Great Falls High SkillsUSA is a student-led organization open to all students in the 9th-12th grade who are interested in the trades. SkillsUSA is a student-led organization catered towards students looking to join the trades industry. It prepares students for a future beyond high school whether it be college, the trades, or the workforce. It also incorporates leadership skills like job interview, speech, and technical math but this is just the tip of the iceberg.
We believe at SkillsUSA that all students deserve the chance to thrive in an environment where learning and the future are combined in a fun and relatable way. It is also a great way to give back to the community by becoming the future workforce of tomorrow and become knowledgeable in your field.
In Great Falls, Young Life is a faith-focused group that aims to provide positive and encouraging connections with students in Great Falls. Young Life is in the world of high school (whereas the middle school club is called Wyld Life) — and we are all about learning kids’ names, hearing their stories, having fun and sharing with them the great news of a God who loves them.
