B.I.G.S.

Being a "Bison in Good Standing" (B.I.G.S.) reflects a student's commitment to their education and a positive school environment and is essential for participation in special events and activities. Our goal is to support all students in reaching their full potential.

To maintain B.I.G.S. status, students must meet the following quarterly criteria:

PRESENT: No more than 8 single-period truancies (unverified absences).

ON TIME: No more than 5 tardies total in any class period per quarter.

ENGAGED: Passing all classes at the quarter grade check.

POSITIVE: No office referrals for serious infractions such as fighting, disorderly conduct, substance use on school grounds, or repeated insubordination.

If your student has not met one or more of these standards during the current quarter, they may not be eligible to participate in certain school activities and events, including the Winter Formal, Spring Prom, Bison Giving Tree, and other school-sanctioned functions.

We encourage you to discuss these standards with your student(s). We are here to help with any additional resources or support you may need.

IF your student is currently not meeting the criteria to be considered a "Bison in Good Standing" (B.I.G.S.) at Great Falls High School, please have your student reach out to their Associate Principal.
